Ultimately at the end of the blog post, you will have your own e-commerce set up and running and make your own way to make your first sale & profit!

Step 1: create your Shirtee.Cloud account

The very first step to getting started with Shirtee.Cloud is to create your account. All you have to do is sign up quickly, with your name and email address. It’s easy to do and it’s completely free!
Once you have done that, you’re ready to move on to the next step.

Step 2: choose your market niche

Before you think about setting up a store straight away, you need to think about in which niche you want to sell to and what kind of products.

What is a niche?

When we talk about niches, we’re referring to a market niche.

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focused, its all about targeting a specific audience, and speaking to them directly

Once you find a niche you want to target, you now have to actually design something that your target market would be interested in. This is why picking one that you are a part of is so important. You need to design something which will set a new trend.

At this point, it is important to remember that Shirtee.Cloud is a ‘print on demand’ service, so we only print the product once your customer places an order. That means, you’re not losing any of your investments. You can upload and remove product from your store anytime, which also gives you option to experiment the new designs!

Step 3: make a design

If you are creative it’s time to make designs which appeal to your customers.
We can print almost everything, but always remember to be creative and be original.

Think about a product for your design. When choosing a design, you have to think about which products you plan on selling with it. Some designs look much better on a mug than on a hoodie. Make sure that your product and design suit each other. If you’re still unsure, you can always use our mock-up generator to see how your designs would look on a product.

Try different tools. There are many tools you can use to make your designing easier.
Photoshop is a fantastic tool, but if you are not able to afford it the first thing to check out is our own mock-up generator, if you have a simple text-based design.

One of the most common tools on the market is Canvas. Another fantastic tool for creating design is Gimp.
It is a free open-source image editor, which is very similar to Photoshop.
Go explore and have fun being creative!

Step 4: choose an e-commerce platform

Once you’ve made your account and got a product you want to sell – it’s time to choose which platforms you want to start your online business on. But with so many different e-commerce options out there, which one is the best for you?

Currently, Shirtee.Cloud can connect with 11 different e-commerce platforms.
Having all these integrations means that you have a wide range of different options to create your store with.

  • Amazon
  • Etsy
  • EBay
  • Rakuten
  • Shopify
  • Shop ware
  • Woo-commerce
  • Prestashop
  • Hood.de
  • Wix
  • SquareSpace

Decide on your chosen platform and make your account there.

Step 5: link your Shirtee.Cloud and e-commerce platform

To integrate Shirtee.Cloud with Shopify, simply install the Shirtee.Cloud app on shopify.
Add the app, enter your store’s URL, then login to your Shirtee.Cloud account.
Your accounts will connect automatically.

The process is different for every platform, so we have many tutorials to help you out.
You can find them on your Shirte. Cloud dashboard.

Step 6: upload your products

With your platform, product and design ready, it’s time to make sales.

Upload your products to your store. You can manually upload your products to your chosen e-commerce platform. Only uploading your products won’t be enough. You have to sell them to your customers to makes sales and profit.
Your customers don’t get to actually see your designs in person, so you have to show them through your amazing photos and descriptions. We do have pre-written descriptions and mock-ups if you just want to get your products out there.
A small tip: Write a creative product description to stand out from other products, which covers everything from the importance of high-quality photos to how to write fantastic description that attract customers.

Chose your price. Once you have a product with a fantastic description and photos to go, it is time to look at the pricing. The Shirtee.Cloud production cost which is what we charge you and the retail price, makes the final price.
So if a Shirtee.Cloud t-shirt is 7€ and your retail price is set at 20€, the profit you make is 13€.

Always keep in mind how much you charge for your product can make or break the sale. If you set your retail price too high, you will lose sales from people not willing to pay that much for your product. On the other hand, if you charge too little, you won’t be able to make a profit from your products at all.

Step 7: create your online payment processor

Now that you have a store online and running with Shirtee.Cloud, it’s time to make your first sale.
Start creating marketing strategies to reach out to your customers. Best platforms to attract customers are social media’s so keep your brand alive in social media channels like Instagram & Facebook.

Once the customer orders a t-shirt and makes the payment – we will start fulfilling the orders immediately and ship it to the customer.

We really hope you enjoyed our guide and have an awesome store form now on.
